NEW YEAR: NEW ATTITUDE
19.06 | Author: Kido Aoyama

We can imagine such a blunder. We teach but we do not know the objectives of our teaching. We life but we do not have a clear purpose of our life.
New year has come. Millions of trumpets have been blown out loud. Millions of fireworks were burnt and threw away to the night sky.
Those are what annually done by many people around the world. Nothing important, changes. Some people surely still don’t know what to do in their life year by year. They sometime do anything just for momentary pleasures. When people don’t have a purpose in life, anything can make them hesitate. Anything can put them in despair. They can then become easily frustrated and they start to do harmful things, even to their own selves.
Life is full of challenges, some of us call it pain and sorrow, and there is nothing we can do to avoid them in life. Pain and sorrow are part of life, God has created them that way and He created them for a purpose. It is up to us as to how we want to approach life – do we want to live it miserably or do we want to make the challenges meaningful?
Therefore, we have to have a purpose in life. It is a must. We can’t afford to live the life of not knowing what to do. We don’t want to waste our lives; life is too precious to be wasted. Life is a God gift and living life fully to our very best abilities is the best way to show our gratitude to God. We have to have a purpose so that that our lives can be bigger than the challenges. With a right life purpose we can withstand the blow, weather the storm.
Having purpose in life is the only way and the most effective way to deal with the pain and sorrow of life. So we can avoid procrastinating and wandering around aimlessly. Feeling bad about our lives and starting to beat ourselves up.
People don’t want to do anything because they don’t know what to do. They purposely make themselves lazy. People purposely keep their lives small because they have so much energy in life but they don’t know what to do. What a pathetic life.
So what should we do to have a purposeful life? To have a purposeful life, you simply have to look for something that calls you, something that makes you excited; something that makes you willing to go through. That is why you need to have passion in life and overcoming challenges can actually be really exciting. Ask successful people and you will find how exciting their lives are despite all the setbacks. Successful people are people with passions, they are grateful for their lives and they enjoy every second of it.
What do we have to do next year then? Find your passion in life, something that excites you, something to die for that makes you willing to give your life for it. Set big goals for your life, big enough to make your problems getting smaller.
In the year of 2009, plan for the actions and take the actions one step at a time. Please remember that the journey may not be easy, but the way we approach failure is what separates the winner from the loser. Winners gain pleasure in overcoming challenges that they find their lives exciting. Losers get discouraged by problems and find excuses not to continue the journey.
All of us are resisting being extraordinary and fighting to be ordinary. That’s why we have to be a little smarter teacher this year. Good luck!
